Jasná Ski Resort – the Low Tatras
Jasná is the largest ski resort in Central Europe. It offers its visitors 50,740m of maintained ski slopes. There are modern cable cars, chairlifts and drag lifts ready for skiers with a total capacity of 31,959 persons per hour. Jasná offers excellent snow conditions and more than 50 km of well-maintained ski slopes of all difficulty levels. Ski slopes tested by World Cup stars, free-ride zones with lift access, or a children’s winter training area guarantee a great experience not only for beginners but also for advanced skiers. Here you can find the most comprehensive skiing facilities in Slovakia. A separate chapter is the rich APRÉS-SKI in Jasná, which is in the hands of DJs and interesting artists on the Ratrak Stage and in the Happy End music club during the whole season.
Mýto Ski & Bike
This year-round resort is located on the northern slopes of the Low Tatras, near the main road from Banská Bystrica through Podbrezová on the way to Poprad. It offers a total of 4,600m of ski trails and in the low season, a Bike Park with various attractions.
The orientation, configuration and outstanding character of the ski trails (homologation for FIS races) meet all the requirements for a quality skiing experience, not only for advanced and demanding skiers, but also for less-experienced skiers and beginners. The artificially lit slope offers night skiing options. There is a four-seater chairlift POMA UNIFIX with a capacity of 2,000 persons per hour as well as 4 drag lifts with a total capacity of 2,900 persons per hour available for skiers.
The quality of the skiing experience is further enhanced by high-quality additional services provided by a restaurant in the ski resort with a total capacity of 250 seats, with a great variety of food and beverages, an Après-ski bar, restrooms, a ski school for kids and adults with experienced instructors and a ski rental which also provides related auxiliary services. There is a large free parking directly in the ski resort. The additional accompanying program and the new chip ticket system together with all the above-mentioned services create a great atmosphere for high-quality skiing.
In the summer season, the aforementioned Bike Park is the biggest attraction for visitors. It offers tracks of various difficulty levels for all age categories accessible with a four-seater chairlift. In addition to the downhill trails, the ski resort also has a bicycle, scooter, balance bike rental and a bicycle accessory rental, service and an MTB school in the ski resort.
Ski Tále (7 km)
Ski Tale is a popular ski resort for families. It is located in the Horehronie region, under the southern slopes of Chopok with an altitude of 660m to 870m above sea level. The conveniently located slope with its northern exposure creates ideal conditions for skiing and snowboarding.
There are 6 drag lifts available with a total capacity of 4,110 persons per hour. There are perfectly maintained trails for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. A total of 2.77km of trails artificial snow-covered. 3 ski lifts are available for traditional night skiing. This ski resort is focused on families with children and offers high-quality additional services.
Catering services are offered in the restaurant Stodola with mainly fast food options and a variety of beverages. The Gray Bear a la carte restaurant offers traditional dishes and a buffet. There is a ski rental and service and a ski and snowboard school available at the ski resort. In the ski resort area, there are several large-capacity regulated car parks and pickup points with a park & ride service from which a shuttle ski bus will transport you to the ski lifts.
